Funny story: we had a Zone Conference with Pres. Cantú on Saturday and he talked a little bit about prayer and the importance of it. He shared Helaman 10:5, which says: "And now because thou hast done this with such unwearyingness, behold i will bless thee forever; and i will make thee mihty in word and in deed, in faith, and in works; yeah even that all things shall be done unto thee according to thy word, FOR THOU SHALT NOT ASK THAT WHICH IS CONTRARY TO MY WILL." Here God is talking to Nephi about his prayers. I had read previously the BD section and really loved the part that says: "Prayer is the act by which the will of the Father and the will of the child are brought into correspondence with eachother." I loved what Pres. Cantú in the Conference: He said that since he was called as Mission President, there hasn´t been anything that he hasn´t gotten in prayer because it has all been in harmony with the will of God--he shared it not as a gloating thing but to illustrate to us that anyone can have this kind of prayer, not just prophets. So when i read Mom´s email i chuckled cause i was going to share all this with ya´lls.

Muy bien. Well this week was pretty good--only it was so miserably hot i can´t even describe to you in words. It had to be inbetween 105 and 110 degrees all week, with absolutely NO CLOUDS, only the sun beating down.

That reminds me--this saturday, October 1st marks 4 months in the mission. THAT´S A SIXTH OF MY MISSION. Just like that..POOF--gone!

We had some good spiritual experiences with finding this week but i don´t have time to tell--i will next week. But for now, i gotta learn patience, i gotta open my mouth more, and i need to learn God´s will for me and for the work here so that i can pray and get what i want (that´s sounds bad, but you know what i mean). When i get to that point, I´ll be on track to being the best missionary that i can be and the missionary that Christ, the head of this work, needs that i be. Have an awesome week. With Conference this week, it reminds me, a year ago this conference, the Lord told me i needed to serve a mission through the prophet. Never forget the importance of General Conference and the fact that we have prophets and apostles. Wow i wrote a lot this week haha. ¡Les amo y les extraño mucho!
